Love Bugs (R18)

The Zoo’s hosting of the blockbuster science exhibition Bug Lab (co-created by Te Papa and Weta Workshop) is the inspiration behind this unique night out.

This leisurely evening features a five-course degustation menu, starting with a welcome glass of bubbles along with wine (tasting portions) with each course.

Julia Deans, one of New Zealand's most talented singer songwriters, will be performing an acoustic set sure to amaze.

Te Papa's irrepressible 'bug man' Dr Phil Sirvid will also be speaking about the love life of some of the world's most extraordinary bugs and the secret lives they live.

Guests will also get the chance to see some live bugs, and hear about Auckland Zoo's love affair with Atearoa's most iconic inverterbates; including our spectacular wētāpunga, for which we're leading an exciting and highly successful recovery programme.

To top it all off, exclusive all-evening entry to the Bug Lab exhibition is available for every guest.
